SECOND

yesterday was my scheduled wisdom tooth extraction for the second time! the procedure took longer than my first wisdom tooth extraction because this time, my wisdom tooth has not yet appeared and my dentists were having a hard time getting access to it. :( but when they already had access to my tooth, they again had a hard time pulling it out because it keeps on retreating! (the wisdom tooth was my upper left) and when they finally got it out, my dentist again had a hard time suturing it because the needle couldn't hold on to a tissue! :( it took about 2 hours for the procedure to get done! wew!

hahahahaha EW! but i want to share this photo! my tooth is sooooo big! and it's bloody hell. i want to clean it to get rid of the blood but i don't want to see it anymore. hahahaha

UST 400 YEARS CLOSING!

this night was super awesome! but first it started as super opposite of awesome. hahaha! in line with the celebration of the closing of the quadricentennial year of UST, 40K Voices was held. this was where almost all of the students of UST sang with the choir (I don'k know what choir is that but it's definitely Thomasian) singing a variety of medley songs :)

this is the situation early on the field. we were gathered at around 3pm! imagine the heat of the sun! we look like we're in an evacuation center. :(

oh! before the 40K Voices, there was a Kumpisalang Bayan and the Eucharistic Celebration held at the field. i think all of the members of the CBCP were there and they were the ones who were stationed at the confession booths.

sorry for the blurred photo. i wasn't looking thru the camera. hahaha

so many peopleeeee. a lovely sight!

eh, we even sang Chiquitita =D

i heard Rico Blanco was also there at the concert, but i left early because I'm catching the last trip of the LRT :( so sad Ely Buendia wasn't there :( he was performing that night at FEU!!! wtf. HAHAHAHAHHA LOL

so there...after the 40K Voices was the Fireworks display! it was lovely! more awesome than last Paskuhan's fireworks! the pyromusical kicked-off at the Arch of the centuries and then at the Main Building then at the Grandstand then at the Santissimo Rosario Church! wew! ang sakit sa batok, di namin alam kung san next manggagaling yung fireworks! but it was so nice! it's lovely, but it would be romantic if you had your love one with you! aaawwww. hihihi

some photos i took of the fireworks! :)

Velada Tomasina

The Velada Tomasina was a 1-day event last January 25, 2012. It means wearing of Period Costumes.

Velada Tomasina, a living tableau that shows the University of Sto. Tomas in the perspective of the cultural milieu of Old Manila at the turn of the 19th centurt. It seeks to bring us back in time through period costumes, songs, dances, poems, and festivity.

We were encouraged to wear Spanish era costumes (e.g. Filipiniana, Baro't Saya, Barong Tagalogs). Pretty much successful as almost everyone in UST were wearing the right costume :)
but still, there were others who, i think, were either K.J. or were not highly encouraged to wear one. All I can say aside from that it's cute because we don't look stupid (because there were probably thousands of Thomasians wearing such, even professors and guards and employees, it's also hot. Imagine wearing a very conservative dress; full-sizes skirt and heavy clothing. And we're in Manila, hello! hahaha

Here's some of the pics :)
