DAY 2 Ilocos Tour!

couldn't update my blog with this ilocos tour at one time. hahahaha i'm so busy these past few days and in the coming days... -__-

anyway, i found free time today since there's no homework for tomorrow so i'm going to make this time productive by updating thisssss. hahaha

SECOND DAY (december 29, 2011, THURSDAY) :
while we siblings were still asleep in the comfort of our room in Polaris Beach resort, my mother and father went out to see the beach! and they took pictures of themselves. hahahaha no, i do not envy them, i am very much satisfied to be sleeping. hahaha here's some pic of the beach

can you see those windmills in this pic?? they're so small in this photo but don't be deceived. hahahaha they're really gigantic!

our first destination for the day: Kabigan Falls. before we ever see the falls itself, we'd have to walk for about 30 mins to reach the spot where the falls can preciously be found :) and the long walk is very rocky, sometimes muddy, sometimes slippery, sometimes elevated with rocky steps, etc. it surely is an effective way of burning calories.

only me and my brother got closer to the falls. because we still have to climb a rocky and slippery "stair" and cross the "river" to be able to get near the falls

my brother, really close to the falls!

on the way back.... to where we were parked. :P it's like we're travelling around a forest

pose like taking a pee

next stop: the mala-San Juanico bridge of Ilocos. if you don't know San juanico bridge, it's the longest bridge in the Philippines connecting Leyte and Samar :) this one is Ilocos' version of that bridge; i just don't know the name of this bridge.

along the bridge, there's this falls. our driver said that the water falling from this falls came from rainwater. meaning, no rain, no falls. literally.

the bridge!

the Bantay Abot cave.

so this is the cave!

look at how strong the wave currents are! who would swim in that sea? lol
and it's very rocky.

next beach: Blue Lagoon. oh this is lovely. the water is really BLUE. and again, the wave current is very strong. haha

and now we're leaving Pagudpod. heading to Bangui....

nice mountains :)

Bangui Windmills! awesome! my first time to see a REAL windmill!

against the light

next stop: Kapurpurawan. the famous rock formation

we'd have to walk over theeeeere before we reaches the big rock formation

can you see this stuff? and the starting point of the beach?? that stuff where we would walk by is, believe it or not, an ancient coral reef. how come? it rose from the sea bed (?). awesome huh!

still coral reefs...

smooth surface!

final stop: Cape Bojeador lighthouse

we didn't go up there cause it was already dark and the caretakers were only available until 5pm for the tour. it was already around 6?

check in! java hotel. it's very comfortable in this hotel. :) i recommend you to stay here if ever..... heeheehee :)

they have their own bar and resto. hahaha

this is a really nice hotel, to think it's not in the metro ;)

they have a pool!

my pictures on our second day of tour ends there! :(

on the third day, basically we just did shopping (we got back to Heritage village) for pasalubongs and souvenirs so i don't have much pics anymore but here's a watermelon from an old lady selling it along the streets.

that's it for our tour! if ever you be going to ilocos for a vacation or tour, i suggest you go there by plane. hahahahah cause we go there by van, and it's really a long journey of 10-12 hours.

bye!
